This is a bit less about her trying not to get caught as a woman as it is about her two-sided nature: the feminine marquise and the boyish daredevil. The daredevil is in the ascendant through most of the story, helping her foil a plot to cheat the French and shame the governor. Good stuff!
The reader does a great job. I recommend this one.
